Information for applicants

Generally, applicants will enter in teams. Teams should contain 2–4 active members; while teams can be larger to allow for backup members etc., they should not contain more than 8 members total.

To be eligible, team members must:

  1. be registered as an active degree student at an associates, undergraduate or master’s level (or equivalent);
  2. not currently be considered as a practicing lawyer in their local jurisdiction;
  3. not be a member of a legal professional body (e.g. a bar association or roll of solicitors);
  4. not have worked full-time as a legal professional for more than 60 cumulative months (including traineeships and/or clerkships).

Teams should also include a coach, who does not have to be associated with a University.

Ultimately, this moot intends to foster a fun and interesting environment for learning and professional development. All participants are therefore expected to comply fully with the standards of academic honesty, fairness, respect and integrity.
